Where To Buy Cute Stamps

Whether you want to send a greeting or holiday card, mail in an absentee ballot, pay a bill, or connect with some quarantine pen pals, it's always useful to have some stamps on hand. It costs 60 cents to send a domestic 1-ounce, standard-sized envelope through the United States Postal Service, making it an affordable way to correspond with people in a tactile, memorable way.

A booklet of 20 stamps comes out to around $12. The beauty of "forever" stamps is that you can still use them even when the price of mailing a letter goes up. If you find a roll of forever stamps from 2016, when the price was 47 cents, you can still stick one on an envelope today and drop it into a mailbox.

This is a given, but depending on the time of the day, the customer service queue can get long. If you just need stamps, use one of the electronic self-service kiosks (where available) instead; there are usually no lines to use them. The downside is that you won't be able to buy specialty stamps.

The post office's website offers a variety of stamps, from the standard US Flag to seasonal (e.g., Christmas, Diwali, Kwanzaa, Halloween) and themed options (e.g., Peanuts characters, the James Webb Space Telescope images, elephants), as well as notable Americans like Edmonia Lewis, Eugenie Clark, Chien-Shiung Wu, and Pete Seeger. The site lets you filter by color, shape, theme, denomination, and more.

Everywhere from grocery stores to pharmacies to office supply stores often sell stamps. Instead of just chancing whether your local Publix or Kroger has them, you can find out using USPS's location tool. Put in your zip code and choose "national retailer" from the drop-down location menu. Depending on where you live, you'll get results like Walgreens, Winn-Dixie, and Staples. Keep in mind that these locations often only sell booklets, so you won't be able to purchase stamps individually. And most stores only carry them at their physical locations

Costco also sells stamps, in 100-count batches, making it a good option for businesses and prolific letter writers. They aren't available online and may not be in every store location. Sam's Club will let you purchase stamps online, however.

Some banks and credit unions sell stamps through their ATMs or tellers. This varies by location, but the next time you are doing a transaction, check to see if they offer stamps as well. Fifth Third Bank lets you filter by locations that sell stamps when you search for an ATM or branch on its website. A representative for Wells Fargo said the bank is no longer selling stamps.

You can also request stamps from your mail carrier, who will provide you with an order form. You can order by phone at 1-800-STAMP-24 (800-782-6724). If your business needs to buy stamps in bulk, you can call that number or email StampsNow.info@usps.gov. Those keen to start collecting can also page through the USA Philatelic catalog and use its order form.

Note: Minted, Zazzle, and other gift sites used to sell personalized stamps, but the USPS discontinued the program in June 2020. You can still send mail with any leftover postage you may have bought previously.

Hi Kristine! You can get stamps from the post office in store, or buy them online from USPS on Amazon or on their website. You can see the links above for specific styles. Zazzle also sells them personalized and approved by the USPS. Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Lunar New Year - Year of the Rabbit The fourth of 12 stamps in the latest Lunar New Year stamp series celebrates the Year of the Rabbit. Calling to mind the elaborately decorated masks used in the dragon or lion dances often performed in Lunar New Year parades, this three-dimensional mask depicting a rabbit is a contemporary take on the long tradition of paper-cut folk art crafts created during this auspicious time of year. The rabbit mask design incorporates colors and patterns with symbolic meaning. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamp and pane with original art by Camille Chew.

$10 Floral Geometry A new Floral Geometry stamp, denominated at $10, will be available for purchase, complementing the similarly designed $2 and $5 stamps issued in 2022. The stamps lend an elegant and contemporary appearance to packages, large envelopes and other mailings. The stamp art features a series of overlapping geometric shapes that mimic the symmetry of floral patterns found in nature. The watercolor background and the glimmer of the foil-stamped design and typography create a sophisticated look. The stamp will be issued in panes of four. The stamps were designed and created by the firm Spaeth Hill. Antonio Alcalá was the art director.

Snow Globes Beloved by children and adults alike, snow globes can be miniature works of art, kitschy souvenirs or anything in between. Celebrating the spirit of the holidays, the Postal Service captures the playful pleasure of Christmas snow globes on four new stamps.

Painting in oil, the artist created spherical snow globes featuring icons of the season: a snowman wearing a jaunty red-and-white scarf; Santa Claus on a rooftop preparing to climb down the chimney; a reindeer standing in a snowy forest; and a snowy tree decorated with colorful ornaments. Art director Derry Noyes designed the stamps with original art by Gregory Manchess.

Tulip Blossoms Close-up photographs of 10 beautiful tulips in a rainbow of colors grace this new booklet of 20 stamps. One blossom fills almost the entire frame of each stamp, with just the top of a stem peeking out from underneath. Since Dutch immigrants brought tulip bulbs to North America hundreds of years ago, the flower has become a dazzling part of our landscape. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps with existing photographs by Denise Ippolito.

Winter Woodland Animals Connect to the natural beauty of the winter season and celebrate four species that make their homes in the woodlands of North America. Among the most familiar of wildlife, deer, rabbits, owls and foxes are found across much of the American landscape. This booklet of 20 stamps features graphic illustrations of these four animals in different woodland settings in winter. Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps with Katie Kirk, who illustrated the stamps.

Railroad Stations Noteworthy railroad stations began brightening the American landscape by the 1870s and, although many were torn down once they had outlived their original purpose, hundreds survived. This issuance of 20 stamps features five architectural gems that continue to play important roles in their communities: Tamaqua Station in Pennsylvania; Point of Rocks Station in Maryland; Main Street Station in Richmond, VA; Santa Fe Station in San Bernardino, CA; and Union Terminal in Cincinnati, OH. Passenger trains stop at all of them except Tamaqua. Derry Noyes served as art director. Down the Street Designs created the digital illustrations and typography.

Customers may purchase stamps and other philatelic products through the Postal Store at usps.com/shopstamps, by calling 844-737-7826, by mail through USA Philatelic or at Post Office locations nationwide.

Where you buy your stamps is less important than the type of STD you choose. Stamps are a standard price as long as the mailpiece is a standard size, shape, and weight. You'll pay more in postage if they're heavier, thicker, or even if they're square instead of rectangular.

Postage is what it is however you can pay more for cute stamps so the question is a good one. Stamps from the post office directly are the best price. The custom cute ones offered online are pricier.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is the ultimate authority when it comes to who, what, when, where and how you can send your wedding invitations, save the date cards, and all other wedding-related mail. Over the years the USPS has offered a number of wedding-themed stamps for use on both one-ounce (which use forever stamps) and two-ounce letters. Custom stamps were available before June of 2020 but are no longer available for purchase.

The USPS currently offers a few 1st class 1oz wedding-themed forever stamps but most of the USPS postage stamps are less than idea for use to send wedding mail. The current face value of these stamps is $0.63. Here are some of the love/wedding themed postage choices: 041b061a72
